Hi, I have just purchased a Goldwing that had stood unused for a couple of years and I dont think it was on its centre stand. The Metzeler M880 Marathon had only 12 psi in it when I picked it up and since re-inflating it to 40psi I have a noticed slow speed (30-40mph) wheel wobble and some road noise when pressure drops to around 36psi. Does this indicate a flat spot in the M880 and should I ditch it for a new one? If I re-inflate back up to 40+psi the road noise and wobble decreases and only reappears as the tyre loses pressure. I have just put a brand new M888 front tyre and its made no difference to the wheel wobble.
Thank you for your email and congratulations on your new bike!
As the bike has been laid up for some time, I think the best thing to do would be to get everything on the bike checked over before regular use, as wheel wobble could be attributed to many different scenarios.
